Objectives

Our Organization is committed in its local development plan to educational innovation, to the opening of the school towards the outside world and Europe, and to the multilingualism, that is the reason why this project is an essential part of the successful achievement of our key objectives. Which are none other than vocational training and among them the vocational training of adults to whom this project is oriented. The main objectives of this project are to provide our students to have better job opportunities or to be able to move up in their professional career, improving their curriculum through a structured training abroad and using innovative learning techniques to improve their digital and linguistic competences. On the other hand, the awareness of being a European citizen is intended to be the basis of our organisation's commitment to the society where we live. All this will allow us to improve their key competences: linguistic, digital and employability skills, while promoting the values of inclusion and diversity, tolerance and democratic participation, strengthening the European dimension of teaching and learning and improving its quality.

Background

IES Zaidín-Vergeles is an Andalusian public Secondary School located in the Zaidín district of Granada. It holds the AENOR certification for excellence in teaching. The institute is renowned for its prestige and offers a wide range of vocational training programs across five distinct professional disciplines: Administration, Commerce, IT, Chemistry, and Maintenance. Moreover, it provides adult education courses, including all Higher-level Vocational Training programs in the Information Technology field, offered in Partial Offer, Blended Learning, and Distance Learning formats. Additionally, the institute offers cutting-edge Specialization Courses in cybersecurity, Big Data and AI, and 5G networks for postgraduate students. Furthermore, it serves as an esteemed Advisory and Evaluation Center for Professional Qualifications designated by the Andalusian Regional Government. This project is aimed to this group of adult vocational training students, those people who are no longer so young or who belong to groups that suffer discrimination because of their either race, skin colour or gender, as a further argument to facilitate their inclusion in working life and to develop their competences as citizens of the European Union
