Objectives

Mainly to offer international training to the participants. This has enable our students to improve their knowledge of other languages, as they had the opportunity to get by in another language in order to be able to carry out their mobilities. Likewise, they were able to assimilate social and communicative skills in different multicultural environments, enabling a comprehensive training and thus advancing in their maturity development. They also had the opportunity to participate in teaching and learning processes where they were the protagonists, encouraging the assimilation of concepts through research, reflection and critical thinking. Our teachers took advantage of the experience to strengthen and improve their language skills. They were able to update pedagogical methods and approaches that led to greater student involvement and motivation in their daily work. They built collaborative links with European colleagues, whose transfer of knowledge, ideas and experiences are notably improving our school´s academic outcomes.

Background

IES La Granja is a public school in the frame of our local goverment - Junta de Andalucía - and located in the city of Jerez de la Frontera. Our educational plan covers Secondary / Baccalaureate level, VET courses y Adult Education. Our school is located in a neighborhood called "La Granja", a middle class area where different people meet. 60% of our students are in Secondary courses ESO - young women of 12 - 16 years old, from families with an intermediate-low purchasing power that makes difficult to provide their sons educational activies other than those offered in our school. Then, these students show certain weak points in their education that are improving with Erasmus+. Our Baccalaureate courses are more homogeneus. 70% of our students are to study in the university, their academic profide is high intermediate but many of our youngters show some competential weaknesses. Our school has long experience in Erasmus+, since 2014 we are participating in KA102 - KA103 projects, and one School education project addressed to our teching staff.
