From school we had very clear the objectives we wanted to pursue by launching this project. From the beginning we set 5 main objectives that were our priority when planning activities. The objectives were: +English +European Identity +Inclusion +Digital transformation +Volunteering Having already done several Erasmus+ projects, we knew that English had to be one of our main objectives, since mobility would take place in this language and it was also one of the objectives that we had set for ourselves so that our students would notably improve their level. Another of our priorities was the European Identity. Being this our first Erasmus project with students, we could not miss the opportunity for them to become aware of what the European Union is and the benefits we have by belonging to it. We wanted the other three objectives (Inclusion, Digital Transformation and Volunteering) to be very specific to this project, so we worked directly with each of them creating our own activities that covered the needs raised.
This has been our first "KA2" Project with students of which we could not be more proud. For several times this project was denied. The context of our organization is that of a public school that belongs to an educational foundation along with 19 other centers in Spain and is located in Orcasitas (Madrid), a lower-middle class neighborhood and traditionally working-class. By chance, we were visited by two Slovenian teachers in a KA1 of theirs three years ago and that there germinated what has been a week-long Erasmus+ in Ljubljana in an upper-middle class neighborhood (Crnuce) in an state school. Two different realities that have come very well both to some and to others as the teachers there have assured us. A total of 21 students and 4 teachers have traveled; for many students it has been their first time outside Of Spain, their first plane trip and all of them have had to live with a Slovenian family for a few days. Thus, the use of English has been mandatory during those days. We believe that the use that has been made of the trip has been highly satisfactory.
