Objectives

Our objectives in this project have been: 1. To improve coexistence among the pupils, promoting inclusion, respect, tolerance and democratic values. 2. Acquire better language skills and develop teamwork skills, using Information and Communication Technologies to facilitate online collaboration. 3. To encourage the motivation of students to learn, promoting the change to active and transversal methodologies using theatre and dramatisation, from playful and innovative approaches. 4. To promote interculturality and respect for the environment as part of the European community. As can be seen, all of them are in line with the needs of the centre explained above.

Background

Our school is located in a rural environment, so there is a need for many of our students to have contact with more urban places and, above all, to learn from the contact and coexistence with other European classmates who offer other cultures and other points of view that should be treated with respect and commitment to democratic values. We worked in a more global way on one of the needs of our school, the improvement of coexistence and the inclusion of all students in the different activities proposed by the school. Furthermore, as the COVID19 pandemic has shown, a good digital competence is essential to carry out non face-to-face learning and to complement face-to-face learning. Developing an international project where work is collaborative has required the use of the internet. Our experience in eTwinning projects has facilitated this task and, by having the funding, has allowed our objectives to be more real and not only virtual. Finally, we have worked on different European values (respect for the environment, democracy, responsibility, sexual diversity...).
