In running the project, our goal was to learn about different ways of using emotional intelligence to motivate teachers, resolve conflicts both inside and outside the classroom, and develop and promote effective and innovative pedagogies and assessment methods. This includes the development of digital pedagogy and mastery of the use of digital tools by teaching staff, especially accessible and support technologies, as well as the creation and innovative use of digital educational content. We wanted to promote the STEAM approach in education through interdisciplinary teaching in cultural, environmental, economic and design contexts. Within this line, we intended to learn about good school leadership practices in a cooperative, blended learning context and using flipped classrooms, sharing experiences with teachers from other centers and obtaining feedback on different techniques used by course participants. As usual, and immersed in a full educational digital transformation, we wanted to use ICT as a tool to promote innovative school leadership through the Digital Action Plan
The IES Juan Ciudad Duarte is a high school with 21 ESO units, 1st and 2nd baccalaureate in the Humanities and Social Sciences and Science. It also has an Intermediate Level Training Cycle in Administrative Management and another Higher Cycle in Assistance to Management, which teaches in Dual. We manage an operating staff of 74 teachers, who work with students from a medium-high social background, from 13 to 18 years old, who show an increased interest in a European reality and seek to perform as people outside the environmental belt of the home. . In this context, we need to encompass and relate, from the management point of view, innovative and integrating projects that include all sectors of the educational community, carrying out good practices of school leadership in a cooperative learning context. By promoting the use of emotional intelligence to motivate teachers and manage problems from an equitable point of view between the parties involved, we intend to carry out a leadership that is based on principles of consensus and participation of all parts involved.
