Objectives

A first need is the innovative approach generating attractive projects that respond to needs and expectations oriented to secondary education students, with the development of methodologies based on ICT, supporting the classroom project with experiential activities developed in a cooperative system with students and teachers from other European centres and published in a network, thus generating a dissemination of the project and work shared with other interested European centres. The project developed has had several objectives; 1.- Inclusion of experiential activities in the area of mathematics in European educational projects. Curricular developments in the classroom and practical development in a real environment. 2.- Connection of the educational system with the real world, seeking self-regulation and control in the student's learning through the development of experimental activities with this approach. 3.- To continue and improve the learning system by seeking collaboration and cooperative work with European students. Support a globalised system using ICT as a tool.

Background

This project is the first Erasmus project with school mobility carried out by the school after the confinement. Our school is fully involved in Erasmus projects, connecting students with a cooperative work with European students, developing projects directly involved in the classroom with the subject curricula and included in the evaluation plan. It has been a special and long awaited project. The Cypriot host school has been a partner in a KA201, with a LTT suspended by COVID, LTT somewhat replaced by the one developed in the project. On the other hand, the project has tried to anticipate the new educational programming LOMLOE, which advocates for competence learning, orienting this project towards PBL within the subject of mathematics, requiring in turn the collaboration between teachers of different disciplines (foreign languages, Spanish language and technology). At the end of the project, we can conclude that PBL facilitates the integration of knowledge in an organic way, aims to help learning through experience and helps students to be able to learn and relate concepts of mathematics and European cultural heritage.
