Objectives

Our first objective was to raise awareness among our pupils about the importance of air quality and to make them aware of the need for a transformation in the mobility of our pupils when coming to school. We aimed to raise awareness among families and pupils of the need to reduce car journeys. The second objective was to understand the need for housing to be more sustainable in terms of both the consumption of its inhabitants and the materials used in its construction. Our challenge was to make them aware of the importance of sustainable growth in our cities and that they could make proposals for improvement and transition towards a more sustainable urban design to face the challenges of the future, both in terms of housing and in terms of common urban spaces and mobility in cities. The third one was to involve them in waste management at school in order to make them aware of healthy consumption habits, the large amount of waste generated by unnecessary packaging with the aim of reducing it, the importance of good management of the waste generated and the reuse and recycling of some of it.

We strive to offer international projects ranging from Etwinning to Erasmus + Programmes. Last year we were accredited as Erasmus school in Secondary Education. In 2018 we fulfilled a KA229 called ‘STEM by Art’ aiming at promoting STEM areas fostering creativity through Arts. In 2020 we completed another KA229 called ‘E-STAFF European Student Amateur Film Festival’ based on the development of cultural exchange, linguistic skills and education through films. Students from Baccalaureate were involved in a KA229 named ‘Creative Vibrations’, whose aim was the planning and construction of a professional itinerary effective and efficient, focusing on skills that meet the needs of the European Labor Market.
