The objectives we had in mind at the beginning of our project are: -To promote environmental values and attitudes of commitment along the lines of sustainable development, which will enable our students to acquire competences. We will create an awareness of the sustainability of the planet. -Encourage the learning of global citizenship through the values of interculturality together with a linguistic and cultural enrichment of our students, greater international openness to the lack of opportunities to travel, come into contact with other cultures and practice a foreign language. A student body motivated to learn foreign languages, eager to get to know other cultures and European countries. -To train our students in different digital tools, and to promote the training of teachers in this field and the subsequent implementation of these tools. Telematic teaching has revealed the digital deficiencies of both teachers and students at our Secondary School. Traditional methodology is not very motivating for our students, who are digital natives, so it is clear to us that changes have to be made in the teaching-learning process.
Our students are aged between 12 and 16 years old and attend the Compulsory Secondary Education stage. We currently have eight groups of ESO (two lines from Year 1 ESO to Year 4 ESO). In addition, our IES has several programmes and projects: we are an educational compensation school, we develop a Coeducation Plan, we are a school with a Bilingual Project in English, we participate in eTwinning projects, in fact, we have received the eTwinning Quality Seal. We also have plans related to coexistence, such as "School, Space for Peace", and healthy living, "Sport at School" "Healthy Lifestyle Habits" (Forma Joven). As well as a Reinforcement, Guidance and Support Programme to help our students with their learning process in the afternoons (PROA). We are involved in TDE (Digital Transformation of education) with training courses in which most of the staff participate and Steam Robotics and Aerospace and finally we have a School Library Plan. A particular characteristic of some of our students are the educational needs they present, associated with social or cultural disadvantaged situations, which prevent them from following the basic levels of compulsory education in an ordinary way.
