With the project we wanted to achieve some objectives of improvement for our organization; Improve our advisory work enhancing the scope of a "European School of Education", establish a network of cooperation with European institutions responsible for teacher training, create with the centers of the area of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria a "European Education Area" and promote the exchange and knowledge of other realities and educational work in Europe as a way towards the Internationalization of Education. Each and every one of them constituted the first contact of our organization with the European scope, improving vital aspects such as motivation, new practices, active methodologies...
This project has been developed in the context of the Centro de Formación del Profesorado de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (CEP Las Palmas), a public center for in-service teacher training. It belongs to the network of teacher training institutions of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands and has more than 3,000 teachers assigned to its scope of action, who belong to public schools in the stages of pre-school, primary and secondary education. The priority line of action of the Teacher Training Center and, therefore, of its Pedagogical Team, is to develop its generic functions of teacher training, educational innovation, pedagogical renewal, advice and support to centers and coordination of programs and institutional projects of the Ministry of Education, all of them reflected in the CEP's Annual Program and following action guidelines established by the Ministry of Education of the Canary Islands.
