As stated before, after analyzing our weaknesses, what we were trying to achieve with this project were the following items: -To enter in the international European Network, to get to know other schools from different countries so as to later try to establish connections and start working on a mobility for our students. -To improve the language skills of teaching staff participating in the project so as to further develop our students linguistic competence. The more comfortable our staff is with the foreign language, the better it will be used in class. New techniques and observation of other teachers seems the right way to tackle this weakness. -To promote a responsible use of new technologies and to broaden our knowledge in this realm, to get another perspective on how to promote it and use them differently in class
Our organisation is a public Spanish High School in the South of Spain with an average of 750 students, our teacher staff is being renewed every few years and now that some members have acquired a permanent position, we have analysed the educational needs and we have found the following problems: - Lack of internationalization and the cultural richness that internalization provides. For several years, the school has not participated in international and intercultural projects. We find it necessary to include disadvantaged students. - Low language level; students show low competence in oral and written comprehension as well as in written production. On the other hand, it is evident that the need to give the most disadvantaged students the opportunity to access linguistic and cultural exchanges is highlighted. - Low level in digital competence: today it is necessary to know how to manage digital resources when working and studying. We found that students can use such resources for profit, but not for educational purposes. We consider digital training more than essential in order to study or work.
