Objectives

The objectives we hoped to achieve are: Give students with fewer resources the opportunity to travel to other countries, live, welcome and work with other young people, promoting inclusion and respect. Make known the most important activities in our area and try to improve them through techniques to promote inclusion, new technologies and sustainability. Promote digital competence and the critical and responsible use of new information and communication technologies by our students. Improve the communicative and linguistic competence of our students, especially in English. Promote respect for environment and ecological awareness, as well as valuing our natural environment. Acquiring good teaching practices through observational learning as well as improving the communication skills of a foreign language among teachers.

Background

IES La Vall d'Alba is a public Secondary Education School in which the following educational levels are taugh: - Compulsory secondary education (ESO). - Bachillerato, currently having 3 lines: scientific, humanistic and social sciences. - Intermediate training cycles. At the center we have the following programs: - PMAR and PR4 (programs to improve learning and inclusion). - Plan for attention to diversity and educational inclusion (PADIE). - School mediation plan. - Tutorial action plan. - Multilingual and intercultural education program (PEPLI). - Program of voluntary reinforcement classes in the afternoon. This project has been worked with ESO students. Our center welcomes students from up to 22 different towns and farmhouses, many of them from rural and poorly communicated areas, with certain difficulties in accessing some basic services. We are, therefore, a backbone center of the area and a focus of culture and opportunities for our students. In general, the students belong to families of medium and medium-low socioeconomic level. The relevance of the primary sector linked to agriculture and livestock stands out, together with the secondary sector with the ceramic industry.
