The expected results were that our students would establish contact with other European centers and students and that they would do so through our rural area as ambassadors of the Bureba. We also hoped that healthy lifestyle habits would improve among our students, since we were noticing that lately our students were becoming more sedentary, barely recycling or reading and their diet was becoming less healthy. We want to help our students to be competent European citizens, with healthy lifestyle habits and proud to live where they live.
We are a primary school located in the province of Burgos. Our educational center is located in a rural area which is being severely affected by depopulation. That is why, thanks to the European projects, we try to empower our educational center as well as our rural area. We want to make it known to Europe and let them see how lucky we are to live where we do. We also want to give both our students and the teachers the opportunity to experience new activities through which they can reach a better level of competence in all terms. That is why we created this project, which had the goal of promoting healthy lifestyle habits through reading, caring for the environment, recycling and physical activity. Always trying to use our environment, our sports and traditional games, etc. to make our town known to our European partners.
