Objectives

We expected to achieve the following objectives. To train teachers in 3D printing to be able to manage the classroom of the future in an effective way, achieving a basis and knowledge easily applicable in the classroom. This objective is the pillar of our project because we see the training of teachers in this subject as the applications of 3D printers are infinite. To train teachers in augmented reality and virtual reality to be able to manage the classroom of the future optimally. This objective is related to the previous one, since most augmented reality applications and websites revolve around 3D. Our students demand the use of innovative digital applications. For this reason, we need training to get the necessary skills to create and use Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) content in the classroom in order to make the learning process more engaging. Furthermore, to contribute to the creation of the European Education Area by providing stability to our Center's relationships with partner organizations. To strengthen the European dimension of teaching and learning. To provide our Center with new processes and procedures for the sake of a continuous improvement that will benefit the whole organization.

Background

MARE NOSTRUM is an IES of Alicante with levels of FP in Middle Grade and Higher Grade of the Administrative and Computer families. Our center must continue with the process of transformation within a more dynamic and committed European environment, progressing in the development of the open center program, connected to the world, with the guarantee of having better prepared professionals and with a center infrastructure open to other European institutions forming stable mixed work teams where students and staff are involved, integrating good practices and new methods in the activities. 3D printers and augmented reality are of great interest to students. They imply these benefits: enhance classroom and online learning, boost the creative process, complement the curriculum, open up learning possibilities, promote problem-solving skills. We want to maintain and improve digital training to enhance inclusive methodologies, improve quality management and use internationalization as a tool to achieve this, through training, observation of successful practices and cooperative and critical analysis of school realities.
