There are 3 objectives to be achieved: 1- To know in depth the specific needs of the Alpha generation. Teachers must understand and know the new generations in order to acquire methodological strategies that make students the protagonists of their learning in a competent way. Teacher training is essential to generate learning environments where students can feel that formal education is adapted to their way of understanding the world. 2- Using ICT as a channel and tool for internationalisation and creation for learning. The world has changed with the development of technologies and these changes have a profound influence on our students. We must make the teaching-learning process more attractive and motivating, and for this it is essential to use innovative methodologies and ICT resources. Adequate teacher-pupil-family interaction will allow for greater understanding and intergenerational collaboration. 3- Open the school to an evolving Europe. To generate virtual spaces for the exchange of experiences and knowledge with other European educational entities. Opening the school to a European vision means creating a common framework for cooperative work.
Our school offers pre-school and primary education to pupils between the ages of 2 and 12. Our priorities are focused on the teaching of the first foreign language through the CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) programme and the implementation of new technologies in all areas and through projects and new methodologies that develop pupils' skills, collaborative work and critical thinking. We have made efforts in terms of training (teachers) and materials (acquisition of technological material and fitting out of spaces), becoming a Pilot Centre for Creative Spaces inspired by the Future Classroom Lab of the European SchoolNet. Based on this context, we detected the need to get to know the new generations and to deepen our knowledge and implementation of technological communication tools in order to bring our students closer to knowledge and to train teachers in new methodologies adapted to this generation. Finally, this project, due to our ultraperipheral condition, aimed to bring our school closer to an open and constantly changing Europe.
