Objectives

NEED: Within the spheres of Sustainability and Inclusion, initiatives have been launched that show the concern we have for learning to live together in a respectful and sustainable way in an environment with a degree of diversity (socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, family, educational needs) every day greater. To a large extent the activities have been carried out as isolated and uncoordinated experiences, the result of individual initiatives. We believe that participation in this Project will allow us to learn and establish collaboration networks with the IIS Corinaldesi-Padovano with extensive experience in Sustainability and Diversity and Inclusion Management. Promote more sustainable and inclusive behaviors in our Center, translating it into a Comprehensive Sustainability and Inclusion Plan. OBJECTIVE 1: Learn about experiences in other educational centers related to sustainability to develop them in ours OBJECTIVE 2: Evaluate the level of sustainability of our actions in the center and in our homes to promote positive changes in the daily life of the educational community: teachers, students and families OBJECTIVE 3: Promote equal opportunities for students with fewer opportunities

Background

The I.E.S. Architect Pedro Gumiel is a Public Institute of secondary education that covers the educational stages of Compulsory Secondary Education (E.S.O.) secondary and high school. Our methodological approach is progressively more participatory, using projects and service-learning as educational vehicles. Our students are between the ages of 12 and 18. Our students come from very diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds. We have students from 20 different nationalities. One of the objectives that our Center has set itself for the last 2 years has been SUSTAINABILITY through the promotion throughout the Educational Community (students, teachers and families) of awareness and responsible behavior towards the environment and the planet in which we live. Each year there are more multidisciplinary and transversal projects focused on SUSTAINABILITY that are carried out in our center. The design of this Erasmus + KA122 Project and our participation in it can help us to consolidate our progress in this Sustainability objective and to prepare a comprehensive sustainability plan that forms part of our Educational Programming.
