Objectives

To develop strategies for integrating the diversity of the student body, using as a model examples of good practices carried out in other educational centers with similar challenges. To develop a global strategy to prevent school failure and dropout that includes teacher training activities. Improve the professional and linguistic skills of the center's staff and meet their demand. To give stability and improve the quality of the center projects that are a fundamental part of the educational and cultural opportunities in the center environment and that promote integration. To provide continuity in the center's internationalization plans through participation in Erasmus+ programs related to meeting the needs of members of the educational community.

Background

The diversity of the origins of our students and the high rate of failure and school dropout highlight the need to develop programs that promote the integration of students, paying attention to students with disadvantaged socio-family conditions. The environment does not offer cultural or educational possibilities and the families are not involved in the initiatives of the center. The Plurilingualism program, among others carried out by the center, helps fight against these inequalities and motivate students and families. In addition, the center's staff is not very stable, more than 65% of teachers change each course and it is difficult to give continuity to the projects. It is a priority to develop global and methodological strategies to combat school failure. With our experience in a strategic association KA219 with a center in Portugal and another in Poland, it was observed that the activities carried out favored the integration of the students to a greater extent than the normal coexistence of the center allows. The improvement of the Plurilingualism Plan will contribute to the improvement of the linguistic competence of all and to the promotion of values for social progress.
