Objectives

1 To provide adequate training and tools for students to successfully develop their professional skills and knowledge in companies in the productive environment and in the EU. 2 Raise awareness among students and lecturers of values relevant to their future employment: spirit of work, self-improvement and recognition of entrepreneurship as a job opportunity. 3 To promote the internationalisation of internships and to recover the majority interest in Erasmus mobility. 4 Promote the external projection and institutional participation by strengthening the projection of the centre, its corporate image and transmitting the CIFP Politécnico brand following the quality objectives that we follow.

Background

The Centro Integrado de Formación Profesional Politécnico de Cartagena is an institution created from the splitting of the IES Politécnico into two different centres: one for secondary education and the other for vocational training. The context in which the project was requested was different from the current one, as we were not yet an Integrated Vocational Training Centre. Our centre had the ECHE charter and had carried out mobilities in higher education studies, with the application for this KA122 project we wanted to start mobilities for our students of intermediate level while we did not get the accreditation to carry out mobilities in vocational training. Responding to the demand for expansion of bilingualism in VET and the challenge of the new reality of our CIFP, we decided to undertake this new project for Middle Grades. We wanted our CFGM students to open up to Europe and to other options that would enrich them, as was already happening with the CFGS students. In the same way, thanks to the contacts made by the mobilities of our staff, we wanted to achieve the internationalisation of our school.
