Objective 1: Lower the school dropout rate Although the students (15-18 years old) who come to the Basic Vocational Training programs usually finish them and manage to Graduate in Secondary, the possibility of accessing this training in our center is reduced to 24/25 places. Therefore, a large number of students have to travel to other locations to be able to access this training and in most cases they cannot due to financial problems or lack of means of transport with timetables compatible with school. Therefore, they stay in the normal ESO groups and drop out when they are 16 years old. Objective 2: Stabilize enrollment in the Cycle of Commercial Activities Objective 3: Improve the social inclusion of students, whether due to their origin, health reasons, origin or sexual condition. 33% of the students who are enrolled in Basic Vocational Training usually come from Moroccan families. As a general rule, these students do not obtain good results since, in most cases, families cannot give them extra support to carry out their studies. We also have students with special educational needs or learning difficulties. For these students it is a very important experience to enjoy a period of time in another country and meet young people
The IES POETA JULIÁN ANDÚGAR is a Secondary School that provides compulsory education, post-compulsory Baccalaureate education, as well as Basic Vocational Training Cycles in Commercial Services; Intermediate Training Cycle DUAL Commercial Activities; DUAL Higher Level Training Cycles: Higher Technician in International Trade and Higher Technician in Marketing and Advertising. This project has referred exclusively to Vocational Training at its Initial level for those students who have not obtained the title of Graduate in Secondary and who through these studies can graduate at the same time as training and preparing themselves professionally for the activities of a commercial establishment. On the other hand, it is also intended to offer the opportunity, for those students who are studying the Intermediate Cycle in Commercial Activities in a DUAL way, to learn about other ways of working in the company of their profile.
