Among the main objectives we aimed to achieve by implementing the project: Consolidate our network at European level, thus giving continuity to the work started in our first project in 2020 and start collaborating with new European partners. Also to integrate and consolidate multilingualism programmes in our cycles as a key to access quality training. On the other hand, and simultaneously, to provoke a greater impact on the training programme and assimilation of skills of our students, giving greater relevance to long-term stays, encouraging the participation of students in this type of mobilities. Likewise, try to implement training activities for our staff, where learning in a virtual environment acquires special relevance. And no less important, to encourage our most disadvantaged and/or unmotivated students to take part in training activities that help them to retake and reorientate their training itinerary.
IES El Tablero belongs to the network of public schools of the Junta de Andalucía, it is located in the city of Cordoba. The educational offer includes ESO (Bilingual Teaching in English), Baccalaureate in the modalities of Sciences and Humanities, Intermediate and Higher Level Training Cycles with three families - Graphic Arts, Personal Image, Marketing and Commerce -. The centre also offers training in Vocational Training in Hairdressing and Aesthetics, Transition Programme to Adult and Working Life, Access Course to Intermediate Level Cycles, and Differentiated Partial Offer in the distance learning modality. The majority of our students are aged between 16-23 years old. Most of these young people have finished ESO and have chosen to start a cycle that enables them to begin a training itinerary with a marked professional focus and to be able to enter the labour market, although around 25% decide to continue their training at a higher level. Most of our students do not have any experience in the labour market and even less in their area of study. The socio-economic level of our students is medium-low, so a training programme in another country is inaccessible, if they do not receive funding from European Erasmus+ projects.
