Objectives

With this project we intended to increase the number of students and teaching staff who carry out mobilities abroad. Thus, promoting the internationalization of vocational training studies, while contacting new partners and strengthening relationships with the existing ones. The objectives we want to achieve are to complete the professional training of our students with stays in European Union countries to carry out the Workplace Training module, to improve the language skills of the participants, and facilitate the knowledge of other cultures, manifestations of artistic, communication and social skills, and to promote the acquisition of professional skills with the immersion of students in work environments different from those they may find in companies in our environment. The implementation of this type of projects also helps improve the quality and attractiveness of vocational training courses in our center and in our environment, which encourages the students to continue studying. In addition, the people who participate in them acquire another perception of European identity, beginning by creating their Europass CV and applying for their European health card.

Background

Our center, IES Río Verde, is located in Marbella (Malaga). It is a public educational center, bilingual in French, and it opened its doors more than 30 years ago. In it, Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Basic Vocational Training, Middle Grade and Higher Grade from the Administration and Management family are taught. Our center has been part of the Erasmus program for several years, first participating in the Consortium of the Junta de Andalucía and since 2019, managing our own projects. To carry out this project, the experience acquired in the participation of previous years, was paramount. We have had the Erasmus Charter For High Education (ECHE) since 2014 and during the validity of this project we have obtained the Erasmus Accreditation in the field of Vocational Training. There have been five mobilities of students for internships, all of them students of the Vocational Training Course of Technician in Administrative Management, two mobilities for job-shadowing of Vocational Training teachers and one preparatory visit and another for accompanying.
