The objectives to be achieved with the project are the following: - Improve the language skills in foreign languages of our students and staff since being able to offer Erasmus + scholarships to carry out FCT in European companies helps us to motivate our students to learn languages. -Improve technical and personal skills (tolerance, respect for the environment, management, autonomy, Responsibility, motivation...) of the students. Improve student motivation. Finding methods to improve the technical and personal skills of our students, especially motivation, is one of the basic objectives not only of this project, but in general of our educational practice. -Improving the technical skills and motivation of our teachers and Jobshadowing and training courses are key to improving the training of our teachers. They stimulate new synergies, motivate staff to innovate and that motivation has a direct impact on the teaching of our students. -Train our teachers in project-based learning. We believe that project or challenge work improves students' skills and makes them more involved in their own learning.
The context of our project has focused on the typology of our center, with vocational training studies with diverse and specific needs. Being a center in which most studies are in technical areas, we found the need to carry out continuous teacher training; Due to new trends and especially due to the situation created by the pandemic, we have also had to update many of the learning methodologies in an accelerated manner. The center has incorporated the infrastructure, to complement education, of classroom and we wanted to take advantage of that digitalization to educate in sustainability and eliminate much of the paper that was used in the procedures of the Erasmus + program. On the other hand, we wanted to improve the motivation of our students and learning in other languages as well as instill in students respect for European values of equality, cooperation between cultures, respect, democratic values, as well as improve their self-esteem and develop their personal skills of autonomy, responsibility, tolerance, etc. Also due to the labour market of Mallorca, based on tourism and with a high percentage of international companies.
