Objectives

Through this project we wanted to promote international education through mobilities and cooperative work with other VET centers. The education we previously offered did not have any international dimension or connection with other European schools. In this way, students would have more opportunities to develop international skills. We also wanted to offer international mobility regardless of the economic resources of the students or whether they had special educational needs, since the five-day trip that was made previously could only be taken by those who could afford it and there was no inclusive action for those with SEN. We had also heard about the importance of ECVET principles in the internationalization of vocational training and wanted to use them in the preparation and implementation of mobility. Finally, we wanted to promote digitization through the project, because although CEES provides students with digital skills, these have more to do with the use of web pages and not with possible applications in the sports field.

Background

The project "An international and inclusive education to improve international and digital skills through the ECVET principles" is the first KA122 that CEES carries out and also the first mobility of students with funds from the European Union. Until then, students had been sent only once for a short mobility of 5 days, because they had to pay themselves for the trip and accommodation, it was difficult to extend the experience further in time. At the same time this KA122 was being carried out, CEES was participating in a KA2 with three VET schools in Holland, Finland and Germany. The Dutch and Finnish partners were chosen as host organizations, as they were the ones with more experience in international mobility. They also offered us contents more aligned with the Erasmus pillars of digitization and inclusion. CEES became a pioneer in the area by offering Erasmus exchanges in VET education in the field of sports, since Erasmus projects were already set in many centers in our region, but not in the field of sports.
