Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) has participated in the Erasmus+ programme since it was launched in 1987, more than 35 years ago. Participation in the Erasmus+ programme constitutes a fundamental axis in the internationalization strategy of the UAB, which defines itself as a public university with an international vocation. The objective of this project is to provide students, teachers, and administration and services staff with the possibility of carrying out mobilities in institutions of programme countries, with the intention of promoting training and professional development opportunities. The Erasmus+ programme has contributed to promoting the internationalization of the UAB, favouring cooperation with institutions and entities from the countries participating in the program and increasing the multilingualism and multiculturalism of our university and with it internationalization at home. The project has been especially positive for the beneficiaries of mobility and also for the teachers, students and administration staff who have shared classes and day-to-day life with the students within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
