The UPM higher education student and staff mobility program is contained within the quality framework of European and international collaboration activities as set out in the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The main objectives of the project are, on the one hand, innovation and quality in mobility activities, and, on the other, the consolidation of the level of participation of the students (specially those from disadvantaged backgrounds and with special needs) together with the increase in the quality of the mobility as a result the increasing culture of internationalization in mobility in staff training and teaching. In this way, the project is integrated into the objectives of the strategic plan for internationalization of the UPM (inclusion in the budgets of the UPM, consolidation of the organisational chart for work positions in the international area and lines of strategic activities as regards the development of capacities and structural modernisation). There have been a total number of 995 students, and 47 staff participating in mobility for training and teaching. 212 students were within the category of participants with fewer opportunities.
