The main objective of the project was to improve the methodological skills of language teachers through collaboration between teachers from Spain and Finland. To achieve this, four training activities were carried out aimed at teachers from both countries. In addition, promoting collaboration among the participants based on common values, civic commitment and active participation was sought. The aim of the training activities carried out was to involve as many teachers as possible in the project so that the impact would be greater and its repercussion in the classroom deeper. The Finnish partners, with their extensive experience in language teaching and learning, were a valuable support. For its part, the IES Albert Einstein, as a collaborating center, facilitated access to the Erasmus program and had the opportunity to learn from the Finnish educational system. On the other hand, Spanish Institute wanted to continue learning from both partners and contributing to the improvement of language teaching and learning.
Spanish Institute wanted to contribute to improve the teaching and learning of languages in Andalusia through a collaboration among several institutions. We mentioned that there would be similar initiatives but we considered many of them were necessary to cover properly the updating of teachers. In the case of Andalusia, interest in bilingual programs has diminished, and it has been marginalized. One of the main causes is the lack of adequate teacher training. With this objective of improvement, we seek to establish a collaboration with a Finnish teachers' association specialized in language teaching, and we also seek the support of an educational center with experience in the Erasmus+ program and interested in continuing to innovate in teaching. For its part, Spanish Institute has invested a lot of time in teacher training and wanted to continue learning and innovating. The three institutions share common goals, have gained from their collaboration, and are satisfied by their contribution.
