What we wanted to achieve was to change people's perception of energy and energy waste through the use of new tools and applications. Giving them tools to measure and control energy waste in their homes. The consortium has designed an application that allows to measure in an estimated way the energy consumption of appliances and devices. By entering a series of data in the application relating to all these devices in the home, we can deduce approximately how much money we spend on energy, which allows the user to get an idea of their annual consumption and how to reduce it. The app also advises you on what steps you can take to reduce your energy consumption.
This project was designed to introduce new dynamics into the families and households in terms of energy efficiency and reduction of electrical waste. We tried to raise social awareness in relation to energy saving and reduction of energy costs. For this purpose, our activities were aimed at the population that generally does not have access to this kind of knowledge and education. We also contacted regional authorities to find out the necessary details for an effective implementation of the actions. The main needs that we have addressed with this programme are related to the generation of knowledge in the population about household energy costs and the different devices and appliances that generate it. All the needs adressed comes from the socioeconomic change suffered from all different people around the world and climate change issues and from the project we prentend to adrees them indirectly by raising awareness
