The aim of the project was to address the identified training needs by creating and disseminating across the EU the first open and multilingual e-learning platform on digitalisation for directors and managers of third sector organisations.
The third sector was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in an unprecedented way. Many of our programmes and services were suddenly and indefinitely restricted. As a result, third sector organisations had to reinvent ourselves to continue providing quality service to our target groups. This reinvention created new training needs, particularly among the management, as they are responsible for the formulation and implementation of the organisation's strategy. This was confirmed by the results of the transnational survey conducted by the project partners as part of the needs assessment for this project, in which 119 people with management positions in third sector organisations from 18 EU countries participated. To the question "In which areas do you currently need more training?", 68.91% responded "digitalisation". To the question "Why do you think the training opportunities available to you do not meet your needs?", 47.06% responded "I have not found training opportunities on these topics" and 44.54% "They are not adapted to the needs of third sector organisations".
