Specifically, INTERMOVE+ sought to: boost the quality of educational resources promoting VET learners’ key competences through a technology‐enhanced learning environment, which is adapted to the context and needs of post COVID-19 digital education; promote the development of key competences for employability and an active citizenship among VET learners as a tool for successful mobility experiences; valorise and promote the adoption of European competence frameworks such as EntreComp (Entrepreneurship Competence Framework), DigComp (Digital Competence Framework) and LifEComp (Framework for Personal, Social and Learning to Learn Key Competence); provide training and professional development opportunities for mobility practitioners and VET trainers supporting learners’ international mobility, as well as the possibility to collaborate and exchange experiences with their peers; enhance the digital readiness of VET institutions and strengthen their internationalisation and competitiveness towards achieving the European Education Area vision for 2025.
Learning mobilities help to increase VET learners’ employability by allowing them to gain relevant skills for their professional development. In order to guarantee a successful experience, the preparation phase becomes fundamental. In that sense, INTERMOVE+ Consortium collaborated in previous projects through the creation of the INTERMOVE label to create a common methodology that would focus on multilingualism and interculturality. However, we identified two aspects to be improved: Increase the participants’ employability and facilitate the access to a common and effective preparation, skipping geographical, physical or logistical barriers. VET learners should be upskilled in soft skills and key competences favouring successful transnational experiences and personal and professional development. A needs analysis carried out showed that these key competences encompassed Interculturality, Intercomprehension, Digital and Media Literacy, Green skills, Emotional Intelligence and Entrepreneurship. Furthermore, INTERMOVE+ offers technology-enhanced approaches to the preparation of beneficiaries of VET learning mobility, while maintaining a high level of interaction among VET learners in a multicultural environment.
