DIGI ENERGY+ has the following main objectives: -CONTRIBUTE TO INCREASING EMPLOYABILITY and the inclusion of VET students as renewable energy technicians, with special support for students with special needs because they are students with few opportunities in terms of geographical, economic or cultural differences. -PROMOTE INNOVATIVE DIGITAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES IN VET by developing an open online course on renewable energy and an online educational portal, increasing the flexibility of VET opportunities. -ADAPTING VET TO THE NEEDS OF THE LABOUR MARKET DIGITALLY – SUPPORTING THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF VET TRAINERS AND MENTORS by offering an e-toolkit based on the new training, outline and material tailored to digital training needs. - CONTRIBUTE TO THE INCLUSION OF STUDENTS WITH FEW OPPORTUNITIES and promote inclusion and integration. -ENCOURAGE WOMEN TO OPT FOR THIS VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN ORDER TO BALANCE the percentage of students in this field of renewable energy technology so that they can quickly enter the European labour market.
The training of renewable energy technicians is of great interest, especially in view of Europe's need for young professionals trained in this field by 2050. The shortcomings that existed in this training depended on the professional families, some of which had obsolete material and equipment, and also depended on the areas where the students are located. We are aware that there are many VET students who have special circumstances because they live in small places or towns and cannot travel to face-to-face training in other larger cities due to economic or social conditions, and therefore online training in this area is extremely important. Hence the importance of developing a learning process based on an online methodology in a practical way that helps students to have a complete education whether they are at home or in the classroom and whether they are in small towns and cities. ONLINE TRAINING is a necessary imperative in the field of VET as a pedagogical imperative and, above all, as a way of adapting to the new needs of the market and flexibility and adaptation to the situations of the different students who participate in them.
