People increase their level of learning when the content and methodology is attractive, interesting and motivating. We must therefore consider the use of an element as interesting as social networks are currently for the benefit of society, eliminating or reducing the passive use, mere entertainment and even harmful that is currently being given to social networks. And special emphasis must be placed on the youngest, those who replace hours of playing, reading, living... by passively using social networks. With the development of this TC we managed to give a more useful meaning to the colloquial use of these social networks, since the main motivations for which we have decided to present this TC are based on the following detected needs: 1- Need to understand the use of social networks for rational and useful purposes, thus ensuring that Youth Workers have more resources to approach the young people with whom they work in such a way that we obtain this formula 2- The need to learn to use social media with an educational, training, informative and productive approach that empowers young people and gives them more chances of entering the labor market. 3- The need to know a methodology for recognizing skills and achievements through Open badges. 4- The need to connect with other professionals in the youth sector to share learning, resources, work methodologies and contact networks that expand the possibilities of their work in the entities where they work and in this way that young people benefit from the results obtained . main objectives of the TC: - Increase the knowledge of youth workers about the efficient and rational use of social networks so that they are understood as a useful medium. - Familiarize the participant with the "open badges" methodology or "free access badges" and open educational resources. specific objectives of the TC: - Use the most commonly used social networks as a resource for NON-FORMAL TRAINING (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, etc.) - Use social networks as resources to use in LEISURE AND FREE TIME. - Learn and use open badges as a formative and informative learning methodology and evaluation and self-assessment methodology. - Culturally exchange the use of social networks in each country. - Discover and contribute ideas and resources to enrich NON-FORMAL EDUCATION through social networks. - Know resources through the RRSS that allow us to improve EMPLOYABILITY. In 2021 fake news has increased by 365%. There are already several investigations that warn of the dangers of false news according to the latest study from the Complutense University of Madrid. He affirms that eight out of ten Spaniards do not know how to distinguish real news from fictitious ones. The consulting firm Gartner also collects in another of its reports that in 2022 most Western countries will consume more false information than real news. There is so much information they have about us, and the segmentation tools of some social networks are so precise, that they almost allow each person to deliver the news they would like to receive today. This power is what makes social networks very dangerous and makes it essential to stop giving credibility to everything that is related to our thinking or ideology. It is also a priority to stop forwarding and give visibility to any information that we do not know for sure is true. Given the exposure of these problems, detect a series of priority needs in young people: - The need to develop privacy, reflection and critical thinking, and some techniques to detect hoaxes and false news. - Need to verify information - Need for media literacy - Need to analyze the consequences of the use and consumption of fake news - The need to know other points of view among young people from 6 different countries. Having exposed the problems and needs that we face with the advance of fake news, we can detail the general objectives of the YE as: 1- Train and propose strategies for YE participants and the target audience when it comes to preventing the dissemination of this type of news and the consequent misinformation that this causes, both in the digital and on paper spheres. 2- Promote critical thinking in the youngest as the only effective weapon to combat the manipulation of thought that derives in uncivil and hateful thoughts, behaviors and acts.
