The construction of European citizenship is a process that requires the defense of the values and principles of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union approved in 2010. Currently, many of the rights, freedoms and principles are being threatened by different movements of a xenophobic, sexist and discriminatory nature that are growing in recent years. The most disadvantaged youth are more sensitive to these hate speeches and segregation since these speeches blame minorities or people of foreign origin for their situation. For this reason, from the INTEGRA-Young Volunteer Association and the Friends of Victoria Association we carried out this project whose main objectives were the following: 1- Carry out a youth exchange in Spain with 18 young people and 2 leaders (9 young people and 1 Spanish leader and 9 young people and 1 Romanian leader). 2- Offer an educational leisure space based on the values of European coexistence. 3- Attend, in the realization of the meeting, to the diversity of the participants (Attention to interculturality, attention to functional diversity, attention to geographical difficulties and attention to economic inequality). 4- Promote the commitment of the young participants with active participation and associationism in their communities and in the environment. 5- Promote the development of skills and competencies in the young people participating in the meeting.
