The project aims to create a bridge between our circus association and the social circus school of our European partner. With the development of a youth exchange between international social circus associations, we seek to provide an experience of personal development, training and creation through the performing arts in a semi-professional environment. The main objective of the project coincides with those of the Erasmus + program: To promote the personal and professional development of young artists, acquiring technical knowledge in the performing arts, developing professional and social skills, fostering attitudes of tolerance, interculturality and respect for others. cultures and minorities, promoting the integration of various groups and their interrelation, and promoting decision-making, networking, participation and associationism. The young people, participants of both associations, are the ones who make up the project, designing all the phases from the beginning, with a totally participatory and inclusive approach, during the development, execution and decision-making, and during the final evaluation of the project. We bet on the circus as a valid professional option in the culture and performing arts sector, and for this it is essential to provide training experiences that pave the way for new generations. In addition, the circus functions as a social dynamizer, as a tool for work and community development, promoting creativity, collective work and associations, active participation, healthy lifestyle habits through physical exercise and healthy eating, the development of personal and social skills, etc. For all these reasons, the experience of a European youth exchange, framed in the circus arts, is an experience that marks a turning point in the formative stage of young artists. We also work on the personal development of groups of young people with fewer opportunities, due to social, socio-economic causes, due to cultural, origin, religious differences, etc. Our participants are young people at risk of social exclusion, who through the circus, find an opportunity for their personal growth, which can even lead them to a job opportunity.
