Objectives

The rural world with low population density, has greater difficulties than the urban world to implement energy saving measures and fight against climate change, the companies that implement these measures are located in the industrial estates of the cities far from the towns and They have a higher economic cost for the trip. In this meeting we wanted the young participants to achieve energy savings without resorting to expensive facilities and using natural resources or recycled materials, for this we have planned activities and practical workshops that improve their skills to self-build small facilities that take advantage of solar energy. We also wanted to achieve in this meeting that a small solidarity network be created in which they can share their experiences, their problems and the solutions to them. Many times having a network to share these experiences makes the difference between continuing with a project or abandoning it. Also in the project we wanted to make the young participants understand that their problems and solutions are similar in other European regions and that cultural differences are less than imagined and that Europe is a common project in which we must all contribute. In this project this was more significant than in others, since not only were there young people who had not left their country, but they had not left their region. In this project we also wanted the young participants to advance in self-training and peer-to-peer training, for this we promote their participation by leading workshops and presenting experiences, we promote a participatory, active and practical methodology, which is based on: - non-formal education and environmental education - peer training - promoting social inclusion, gender equality and respect for different opinions - Encourage the contributions of the participants to empower them to self-manage the contents and experiences. For this, the role of the coordinators-trainers was to favor the contributions. The general objectives of the project were: a) Advance in training in self-sufficiency using natural resources provided by the rural environment such as reeds, wood, stone, land to improve energy efficiency b) Deepen bioconstruction techniques to make better use of solar energy. c) Adapt facilities to the new covid 19 regulations, how to improve ventilation by reducing energy losses. d) Creation of local exchange networks that make it possible to reduce consumption by sharing experiences, machinery and other resources that promote a social and circular economy. Feeling part of a group where sharing experiences and self-training. e) Exchange and share culture, hobbies and get to know each other among the participants, to generate ties that last over time. e) Generate an online platform that collects the activities, workshops and debates of the meeting and also can share experiences and advice. Specific objectives Our project is designed to practically cover the detected needs and the general objectives; That is why we focus the specific objectives on: -- Improve the skills, abilities and resources of the young participants to improve insulation and energy efficiency in homes and workplaces, within self-sufficiency and sustainability criteria. - Know the design and operation of passive systems for the use of solar energy using bioconstruction techniques. - Provide them with skills and techniques that will enable them to build a reed greenhouse, a solar collector for hot water, insulation for housing and other energy saving systems. - Know models of local networks to share resources, machinery, to generate networks of circular, solidarity and social economy. Build a network among attendees
