Through this project, the partners aimed to create innovative contents that promotes employability and entrepreneurship of young people in the cultural sector. Specifically, the project aimed to achieve n.3 specific objectives: Objective 1: Promotion of the employability of young people in the cultural sector; Objective 2: Promotion of youth entrepreneurship in the cultural sector; Objective 3: Dissemination of European cultural heritage among young people in the participating countries. Thus, the project aimed to promote knowledge among young people about employment opportunities and entrepreneurship in the cultural sector, through interviews in video format that have been made available to the public through the project website and profiles on social networks. In addition, the project aimed to give a boost to the cultural sector, greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting its appeal to young people, not only as something worthy of admiration and respect, but also as a source of opportunity to be used and disseminated.
The PEC Project (Podcast Employ yourself in Culture) is a cooperation association for youth, led by the Integra Cultural Association (INTEGRA) and with partners from Greece (MOSAIC POLITISMOS & DIMIOURGIKOTITA (MOSAIC), ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL ECONOMY GROUP (EKO ), Italy (STEPP STRATEGIE SERVIZI SVILUPPO SRLS (STEPP), Associazione Italy Meet Indonesia (IMI), Associazione Arte Cultura e Sanità ETS (ARCUSAN) and Croatia (Culture Hub Croatia (CHC). This project was born from real needs that each country of the participating partners has in common and which can be summarised in three main ones: -Need 1: Combat the high rate of youth unemployment in the project countries (https://es.statista.com/estadisticas/488897/tasa-de-paro-juvenil-en-los-paises-de-la-ue/); -Need 2: Promote entrepreneurship, as none of the countries are among the first 30 most favorable countries to entrepreneurship (https://thegedi.org/global-entrepreneurship-and-development-index/); -Need 3: Support the cultural sector in a very difficult time due to the restrictions generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
