Our goal was to create a tradition of international activity for the school and to bring European cooperation as a part of everyday school life, as one of the focus areas of our school. With teacher mobilities we aim not only to instill international cooperation in our school culture but also to improve and expand teachers' abilities for Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), which was offered in 8 subjects before the project and in 11 subjects after the project.
Kouvola Yhteislyseo was born in 2015-16 when three high schools merged. In 2019, the international affairs team was established at the high school, with which we became more active in Erasmus+ activities. We applied for the KA1 project for the years 2021-2023 and our application was accepted. We started quite moderately, with eight teacher mobilities. Our goal was to gain better understanding of international activities as well as networks and tools for the development of our own school.
