The main objectives of this project are: - To develop our STEAM-pedagogy and the whole school culture to be more international. This is achieved by enabling the teachers to network with European teachers in various STEAM-subjects. - To support and improve the English language skills of our teachers. This is important since our vision is that in near future all of our teachers will be involved in international activities, either in terms of school visits/ courses/ job shadowing or hosting our international quests. - To encourage teachers to utilize STEAM-pedagogy in their lessons, and - To familiarize our teachers and teaching assistants to the various EU-tools and forums which enhance internationalization (e.g. Erasmus+ activities, eTwinning etc)
The context of this project is internationality and STEAM-pedagogy in primary- and secondary education. Our school is one of the leaders in STEAM-pedagogy in Oulu region, and we want to improve and develop this area by collaborating, sharing expertise and getting new ideas from teachers around the Europe. Our school has already some experience about international collaboration, but our vision is to establish an international network for STEAM and active learning, and to increase also the international contacts for our students e.g. via international visits.
