Our multiethnic school wants to improve and develop staff teaching skills, add variety to used digital tools and implement new practices in infrastructure of the school in order to improve especially Finnish as Second Language students' academic skills.
Our school has approx. 600 students, of which 40 per cent speak Finnish as a Second Language. Their academic performance is poor or under average, as their spoken Finnish skills maybe fluent, but they lack in comprehending terminology and concepts or many subjects. Our staff is committed to improving the academic skills and Diploma GPA for these students.
