With this project, the University of Vaasa set a goal to revitalize international student and staff mobility amidst the lingering repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the beginning of the project period, there was a clear understanding within the university, that both incoming and outgoing students and staff longed for viable mobility opportunities, stemming from the exceptional period of restrictions imposed by the pandemic. At the same time, the university recognized the transformative power of the digital leaps taken during the lockdowns, and their potential to underpin the internationalisation strategy. Through further use and development of the digital solutions for online agreements, as well as through guidance and counselling to support the planning and learning processes of the participants, the University of Vaasa aspired to restore international exchange levels to pre-pandemic heights.
