Objectives

At Häme University of Applied Sciences, internationalisation is one of the key lines of development stated in its strategy for 2030. This Erasmus+ project is an important element in the implementation of internationalisation in all forms and ways at our university. This can be seen in the integration of competence development of students, in the internationalisation of curricula, and through building strong international partnerships in education and research. * * Erasmus+ as an exchange programme opens opportunities for incoming students to have an internationalisation impact on our degree programmes – our students can experience internationalisation at home if it is not possible for them to take part in an exchange period abroad. For outgoing exchange students, Erasmus exchanges offer valuable opportunities to gain international skills and even life-changing experiences. Studies abroad are one of the key activities in equipping students with skills they need when they are seeking and finding a job after studies. They gain international skills valued by the employers. The key, however, is to ensure that the students identify and recognise the skills they have gained. *
