One of the strategic goals of Centria University of Applied Sciences is to invest in internationalisation and international competence, and participation in the Erasmus+ programme provided excellent support for this purpose. The Erasmus+ programme is Centria’s primary mobility programme, which aims to provide opportunities for our students to gain international experience and increase their knowledge, improve language and communication skills, and gain fresh perspectives on the student’s own field of study through student exchange and/or internship with a partner university. In addition, the programme has provided Centria’s staff with the opportunity to gain international teaching experience, the opportunity to network and to build and deepen cooperation with partner universities and their colleagues. Correspondingly, exchange students and staff from our partner universities made home internationalisation possible for those who could not participate in the mobility period themselves and the participants had the chance to familiarize with the Finnish higher education system.
