Helsinki YMCA's goal is to create a permanent model for implementing mobility projects. Our aim is to implement mobility projects that support participants' well-being, learning and tolerance. We want to equalize and lower the threshold for opportunities to participate in international activities and support young people and employees from different backgrounds to have a positive international learning experience. The mobility activities also increase the employees' professional skills and thereby affect the children, young people and families who are the targets of the activity. Helsinki YMCA's exchanges are related to learning new skills and sharing expertise between youth organizations. Our projects are participant-oriented and young people play an active role in the projects. The themes arise from the needs of the participants and organizations as well as the central phenomena of young people's lives. The activities aim to share good practices and empower their participants as influencers. Participant-oriented projects encourage participants to understand the importance of their own contribution and seize their opportunities to influence. Working in an international environment strengthens the participants' language skills and confidence in intercultural situations. Helsinki YMCA strives to build permanent partnerships to promote international work. We are also actively looking for new partners as international partners. We also involve other actors in mobility projects so that they can gain experience in Erasmus projects. Our goal was 1. Secure opportunities for young people, regardless of background, to have international experiences and learning 2. Internationally, the cohesion of young people is strengthened by enabling interaction about the central phenomena of young people's lives 3. International learning opportunities for professionals working with young people are increased and targeted
