Objectives

We wanted to engage in this project following the observation of the impoverishment of the mastery of the language and the loss of the taste for reading on the part of our students. The goal was therefore to give back to reading its dimension of pleasure and to increase language skills (mother tongue and foreign language). We also wanted to bring them to work for the fight against racism and many forms of discrimination, which are also axes of our educational project. Furthermore, the lack of mastery of the computer tool has encouraged us to orient the activities in order to improve and harmonize the digital skills of all. Finally, in order to respond to the major issues related to climate change and the National Education program which invites students to reflect on humanity and the effects of globalization, we have led the students to reflect on this theme through activities.

Background

Within the framework of the key action 1 of the Erasmus+ program for the mobility of individuals, the Marie Pila school in partnership with the Celesti Bellera high school in Granollers (Spain) has developed a short-term mobility project during the school year 2021-2022. We have therefore proposed the creation of a European literary prize for high school students. All the students of the school were able to participate in the activities throughout the year. However, the mobilities concerned the students of Première and Terminale who chose the speciality courses LLCER Spanish (Foreign and Regional Language and Civilization) and HLP (Humanities, Literature and Philosophy). This project is a continuation of the KA229 project that ended in August 2021, thanks to which we were able to meet our partner from the Granollers school. We were thus able to register this partnership in the duration and to create a perennial collaboration.
