Our objective was to involve the students in the discovery of another culture and to enrich their professional career thanks to a period of internship in a company abroad. Students lack personal ambition, attendance and perseverance. By involving the students in a mobility project, we hoped to increase their motivation and get them to think about obtaining their baccalaureate but also about pursuing their studies.
Our school has been offering mobility to its students for several years: with the pimen consortium of the GIP of Lille (mobilities managed by the Euro Spanish team) and in a single project like this one (mobilities managed by the Euro English team). At the beginning of the 2021 school year, a teacher joined the school (R Pellizzari), wishing to initiate a strategy of global European opening. We have therefore applied for and obtained Erasmus accreditation. A "European projects" team composed of 10 staff members now implements mobility projects with a view to ensuring overall consistency. At the beginning of the 2022 school year, a referent teacher, S. Lebesgue, left our school and the team had to be reorganized. The context in which the 2021 project was set up: the projects as planned in the call for projects were called into question by the health crisis and we twice had to cancel the 8 mobilities planned for our Euro English senior students. The targeted students were no longer on placement after March 2021. The reform of the vocational pathway has disrupted our plans and the inspectorate has recommended sending 1st year students on mobility rather than final year students (certification evaluation in companies).
