Background

The mission of Abilympics France is, among other things, to promote the skills of disabled people in skills competitions in France and abroad. Abilympics is the contraction of the English words "Abilities" and "Olympics", the Abilympics are to skills competitions what the Paralympics are to the Olympic Games. They are the demonstration, in a competitive situation, of the professional excellence of people with disabilities. With the aim of inclusion, the competitions highlight skills, where disability is replaced by professional competence. The Abilympics World Competitions are organised every 4 years. In August 2022, the French team was to travel to Moscow for the 10th Internationals. However, in view of the international context, France has taken over the organisation of this major world event. From 23 to 25 March, the 10th International Abilympics was held in Metz (Grand Est Region)
