Our students must acquire intercultural competencies: this is mandatory because they perform in hospitality and tourisme activities; they welcome foreign tourists, they work with foreign (buy or sell) companies or organisations in order to lure tourists in France, and they work in multicultural teams. Our students must also improve their language abilities. Performing abroad often fits this objective. This is the reason why we choose carefully the internships. Our goal is also to help as many students as possible to study or to do an internship abroad. Our students are young (18-19 years old). As we get out the covid's period, some don't want to go abroad and prefer to stay next to home. We try to provide explanations, to make them understand that going abroad is not dangerous. We also look for "cosy" internships, in which students will feel comfortable and secure for this first experience. We also must work with students" families. In order to do so, we try to inform and to meet our students"families to give them some explanations. Nevertheless, the financial criteria is important. We try to find internships which won't cost less and for which the erasmus financial subsidies will cover the students' expenses.
