The participation of Lyon 1 university in the Erasmus+ programme is an integral part of the its internationalization strategy. Erasmus+ reinforces university’ objectives concerning quality of student and staff exchanges, increasing incoming and outgoing mobility flows, a more active participation in European projects. Increasing student and staff mobility number is a well identified priority. Teaching and administrative staff benefiting from an Erasmus+ mobility are excellent ambassadors in their faculties/departments. The Department of International Relations at the central level has a well identified and efficient structure: two Vice-Rectors, one for International relations and European Affairs and one for International Mobility, one director and 17 administrative staff. There are also antennas at the faculty level, International Offices with one academic (International Mobility Correspondent) and one administrative (international mobility assistant), in close relation to students.
