Since the programme's inception, the University of Limoges has used Erasmus+ to enhance the knowledge and employability of its graduates, enrich exchanges between education, research and external players and promote a multicultural and international approach. In this way, it can strengthen its position within the New Aquitaine region and respond to the new challenges of social and societal responsibility. This project focuses almost entirely on study periods in order to meet the dynamic demand in this area (work placement mobility is managed by an Erasmus+ consortium managed by the Region, while staff mobility is supported by other budgets). It is open to the 11 academic departments, which set their own objectives within the framework of the overall strategy. The profile of participants thus covers all the major disciplines and levels of study up to 2nd cycle, for mobility periods of 3 months to one year. The university is careful to ensure the widest possible access to the project for its students, 60% of whom come from the Limousin region and 40% of whom receive social grants. At the same time, by internationalising its educational opportunities, it is increasing its intake capacity and attractiveness.
