Objectives

Nantes Université (NU) relies on European and international mobility programmes, including Erasmus+, to develop its international strategy. This strategy aims to internationalise, improve the quality of its courses and raise the skill levels of its students and staff. The aim is to facilitate outgoing student mobility while developing the attractiveness of courses and laboratories through incoming mobility, in order to encourage the transfer of knowledge and the enhancement of skills. NU's visibility and attractiveness are also enhanced by staff mobility. NU's international strategy is steered by the University's governing bodies: the Board of Governors, the Executive Board and the Academic Council at central level, and the Pole Councils at component level. Until January 2022, this role fell to the University Council for International Relations. The Academic Council deals with issues relating to training, research, student life and international relations, and approves the mobility grants rules each year, which set out the rules for the Erasmus+ programme.
