For over 30 years, CentraleSupélec has been international-oriented: setting up of short-term credit mobility, developement of double degree programmes in engineering (T.I.M.E. network), lobbying policy-makers for teaching and research in science and technology in Europe (CESAER network), deployment of a new curriculum emphasizing cross-cultural competences of engineers, to cite just a few. Any engineering student at CentraleSupélec must validate an experience abroad of at least one semester in order to graduate, be it an academic exchange, a profesional internship or a double degree. Welcoming international students and staff is also a key element of the institution's strategy. It requires to strengthen cross-cultural competences of the staff. Over half of the academic mobilities take place at European partner universities. The 2021 Erasmus+ project contributed to reinforce the European strategy of CentraleSupélec by granting scholarships to students carrying out an exchange, a double degree or internships on the continent. It also favoured and encouraged staff mobility to exchange good practices with colleagues of various horizons.
