Though French Maritime Academy is training merchant navy cadets that are used to travel and work around the world, it is newly involved in Academic internationalisation and in particular in Erasmus+ mobility projects. Erasmus+ KA131 for 2021 was the first programme that FMA could rely on to help and encourage students to go to traineeships abroad. 2021 Erasmus+ project also corresponded to the time where International relations service was created. It was then also a good and viewable marker to launch international activities. With this programme, French Maritime Academy also was keen on encouraging teaching and administrative staff to work with foreign entities, to develop their skills and support them in new projects they would initiate.
